LIMITED EDITION PRINTS AVAILABLE NOW

The prints shown below are all still available. Each is a limited edition lithographic or giclee print, signed and numbered by the artist. Some of the editions are sold out, but the artist still offers a very limited number of signed and numbered Artist's proof prints - the very best of the print run.

"GAME DAY ON YAWKEE WAY"

Bill's painting of the iconic and historic entrance to every Sox fan's favorite summer place - Fenway Park - places the viewer looking up at the famous Fenway Park sign, originally built in 1912. This limited edition (500 prints) giclee print, on canvas, is hard to distinguish from the original oil painting from which it was made. Each print is signed and numbered by the artist, and they are sold in the sequence in which they are ordered. There will never be more than 500 of these prints, so their value will continually increase.

The Fenway print is on canvas, so it looks remarkably like the original painting on canvas. It is 20" wide X 30" high, exactly the same dimensions as the original painting. The canvas is mounted on light, but very sturdy Gatorfoam Board to make framing quick and easy - just purchase a 20" x 30" frame (a readily available standard frame size) in a style which fits your home or office decor, pop the print into the frame, and hang it on your wall - no glass nor mat required! Because it is already mounted on a rigid panel, your print will be shipped to you flat, not rolled up in a tube. All sales are final, and prints cannot be returned unless damage in shipping has occurred. Contact us immediately to arrange for replacement under those circumstances.

"GRADUATION DAY"

Bill's painting of a bald eagle family on Wyoming's Snake River has beeen used in a number of publications. A limited edition giclee print was produced, and Bill has 15 of the Artist's Proofs available for sale. The 40 x 30" original painting is also available for sale.

These parent bald eagles watch over their youngster as it prepares to eat its first freshly-caught cutthroat trout on the Snake River here in Wyoming (Tetons in the distance) - hence, "Graduation Day". Parent eagles must teach their youngsters to successfully transition to independence and self-reliance. All raptor parents go through a "teenage" phase with their youngsters, when they are remarkably like human teenagers - demanding, aggressive, obnoxious, and sometimes quite dangerous. Parent bald eagles eventually reach the point where they'll drop fish into the nest for the youngsters, but they won't land there, because their nasty teenagers' grabby feet, equipped with some two-inch talons, are so dangerous.

When the youngsters are able to fly, the next big task for the parents is to teach them how to catch their own prey, predominantly fish. When the parents catch a fish, the youngsters perch in a tree or on a gravel bar and scream for the parents to come feed them. The parent birds will catch a fish, lure the youngster to chase them in the air, then drop the fish, and the youngsters learn (after a lot of tries and misses) how to catch it with their talons in midair. If they miss and the fish falls into the water, it will float, and the youngsters then learn how to pluck it off the surface of the water in flight. Gradually, they become more agile on the wing and skilled with those lethal feet. Then, by example and much trial-and-error, they learn how to see fish in the water, and how to plunge into, or skim across the water to make the catch. A demanding job, it takes the whole summer to teach the youngsters how to feed themselves - but little by little, the parents break the nestling's sense of "entitlement" to free food.

This giclee print is on heavy, acid-free, archival paper. The colored print area is 14.125" high X 10.5" wide, with a 2.5" white border all around to accommodate matting and framing under glass. Your print will be shipped to you flat, not rolled up in a tube. All sales are final, and prints cannot be returned unless damage in shipping has occurred. Contact us immediately to arrange for replacement under those circumstances.
